Turn a video into still frames, one every set interval.

Extracting frames

1. Tap Choose a video and pick one from Photos or Files.
2. Set the interval — how often a frame is taken. The default comes from Settings; changing it on this screen affects only this extraction.
3. Optionally drag the range handles to extract from part of the video instead of all of it.
4. Tap extract. The frame count and estimated size are shown before you start.

How many frames will I get?

One frame every interval, counting from the start, plus the final frame. A 3-second clip at 0.05s gives 61 frames, not 60 — both ends are included. If the video does not divide evenly by the interval, the true last frame is still added; turn off Include final frame in Settings if you want the grid only.

Some frames look identical

That happens when the interval is finer than the video's own frame rate — a 30fps video has a new frame only every 0.033s, so a 0.01s interval has to repeat some. FrameShot warns you before extracting and names the video's frame rate. It is a warning, not a block.

Saving frames

Extracted frames stay in the app until you delete them. Tap Select in a job, choose the frames you want, then Save to Photos. Saving does not remove them from the app.

The daily limit

Three extractions a day. Past the third you can watch a short ad for one more, or remove the limit and all the ads permanently with a one-off purchase. Nothing here is a subscription.

I bought the unlock and it is not active

Open FrameShot → Settings → Restore purchases, and make sure you are signed in with the same account that made the purchase.
